Location: Contrarian Island | So with the success of double #10's this past season or 2...who is gonna be the 1st to make a bigger blade and put them on bucktails? I'm actually surprised someone hasn't made a bigger #11 or #12 blade and doubled them up...anyone hear of anyone going to do this...I would think they would work just as well on big fish....

It's already been done. The original Cowgirl had a "Magnum" blade that is considerably larger than the number 10's. Nobody is manufacturing a blade any larger than the number 10 right now so unless one is willing to invest the money into having their own blades stamped, I dont think you will see it anytime soon.

Posts: 44 | Here's one, next to a DC-10 and a standard Dbl 8 Llungen Tale. No plans for full production. These giant Blades seem to be tough to find. We will have a few for sale at the milwaukee show. Attachments ---------------- jumbo,dc-10 double 8.jpg (50KB - 116 downloads)

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | tomcat, keep that one down please... we're still trying working on it........uhh yeah, working on it... Brad did see a couple of the double triple takes this fall with me. Headed over to baitmakers today for a revamping of a few. By the way it is triple take, not triple threat dude. I'll tell you how I named it some time, neat story. Just get it right for once cocheese!!!!!! Check my buy sell trade board for a look at one of the bigger than 10 lures that ToddM made for me last year. They'll tear a reel up! Edited by Reef Hawg 2/8/2007 8:42 AM

Posts: 136 Location: Chicago | I think the big bucktail blades have been around longer than we thought. Here's an old one from my collection, an old Gibbs-Davis next to a double cowgirl. Attachments ---------------- P1010857.JPG (109KB - 137 downloads)

Cow-bell (Sp?) blades from trolling leaders. They used to put 4-5 of those big pigs in a row and put some kind of bait/lure on the back of the leader and troll them!
