| Looking to head up to Eagle River area June 9-16th. I'd like to find a nice/clean family resort. (Wife and 2 little kids will be along.)
Besides muskies , we would also like to be on a nice smallmouth action lake. Was looking at the Wild Eagle Lodge on the Eagle lake chain, but don't know how the smallmouth action is there.
Any recommendations/insights about the above lodge and lake or other area lakes and lodges would be appreciated.
Also, is it easy to navigate through all the lakes on the eagle river chain? (Depth wise)
Thanks for any insight. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I'm 45 minutes from there. Franklin is a great Pike lake, smallmouth too. There's so much good water in the area, some days it's a trick to make a decision where to head! |

| We really like Afterglow resot in Phelps. Great, kid/family friendly resort that keeps them busy so pappy can go and fish. located on a private 55 acre lake loaded with Smallies and trout. It sits right between N. Twin and LVD, only 1/4 mile from both of them. www.Afterglowresort.com |

Location: Athens, Ohio | Eagle River chamber of commerce has an excellent visitor's guide magazine that lists all the motels, hotels, resorts, and stuff up that way. You can order it on line, good comparison chart, too. Lots to choose from. m |
