| Ever said that to your partner and it happenned?
I remember one of the last days of last season when my boat partner says lets look through your tackle box and we'll get a hit, now this was late afternoon after I had caught a dink early that day. Been going through my box lure by lure for some 3 to 5 minutes when I get a rip so I stand up set the hook and hand the rod to my buddy and say here it's your turn. Some 5 minutes later we were releasing a 50.5 X 24.5 fish well over the 35 lbs range. Gota love it when it happens that way.
Another time last fall with another buddy when we were talking about catching a sturgeon, but I had never caught or ever even seen one caught. Now later that day we were trolling after dark and was just getting to the launch when my lure down 10' in 20' of water goes off so I set the hook and felt some weight so I handed my rod to my buddy that was desperate for a 50+ and the fish put up a good fight be we never knew till the fish came into the net that it was a sturgeon snagged in the back and not a nice muskie.But here is the clincher the next morning I was fishing alone and in under an hour I snagged yet another and this one was in the butt and off bottom. can you imagine 2 within one hour after never seeing one in thousands of hours fishing for everything.
