Posts: 551 Location: Columbus, Georgia | Thanks Saint. One chip covering the entire lake. Is that correct? They have a number of chip levels. Can you please tell me which one yours was (Gold, Hotspots, etc)? Craig

Posts: 109 | The Navionics chip does cover the entire lake. Its basicly the Canadian Hydrographic Map put onto a chip. Not sure about being "right on" but its not far off either... maybe 50' in some areas. When getting close to shore in some areas it will show you on land and same with bouys... it might show you going on the wrong side of them. Just use common sense. Personally... I loved it and would not travel on LOTW's without it again and Ive been there many many times. Just buy the chip that covers Mn and you will get the map for ALL of LOTW's. Oh... the chip I have is Navionics Hotmaps Premium. Edited by MoMuskieguy 1/16/2007 10:44 AM

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | My premium north chip was closer than I had heard it would have been this past summer, while staying at Franks. The Navionics/Lakemaster boys were remapping the section of the lake we were on, this summer too, and I would guess the new map would only be an improvement. I'll go back with my chip though, as it was very close, with the distance 'off' being monor and relative no matter where I went.
