Posts: 401 | Here it is. This is the bait I have been playing around with for awhile. The Krook. I was getting sick of burning bucktails with speed so I started thinking. How could I run an inline spinner as a topwater without having to reel so fast. Short story first...riding back from Leech this summer and nobody was saying anything until my wife says "you are thinking about that stupid bait again aren't you." She was right...ouch. The “Krook” is unique in how it runs in the water. The Indiana blade version can run at a much slower speed and the blade will still thump out of the water or you can run it really slow and create a huge bulge in the water. Remember the wood offers the buoyancy so you do not have to reel fast to burn them. Another thing about this bait is the wood sits higher in the water then the silicone skirt so all the skirting is exposed to the fish. The 2 inches above the collar allows the skirt to breath as the blade spins around. The second version with the twin delta blades is inline prop style bait with a silicone skirt. If you like prop baits this is a must see. I will try and get video in the pool to post on the site. Thanks Bette for posting the pictures for me. Hope all is well. I really like the design, not often you see something completely different. I also spend alot of time bulging so this will be perfect!

Very nice and very innovative. I just had Todd Minor build me a giant TM Tail custom buzz bait last Summer. The easier to buzz, the better. Any nice fish on it so far or is it totally out of the box new?

Posts: 401 | Boy that fish would look better if the guy holding wasn’t sporting two chins. Better do something about that. To be honest there was not 100s of fish caught on this lure this year and this is why. Nobody else used it but members of my family and we had a good year. I knew this bait was different. Toward the end of the year I decided I was going to build some for sale because enough people had seen it. Why the Krook? Because I feel the idea will be ripped off in a short amount of time. We can all watch and see. Check it out in the pool in Chicago. I think you will see why it will catch fish. It is still all about the love of fishing. Keith

Posts: 401 | I have received some emails asking about he Krook. I will have some at the Medina show this weekend, Milwaukee, and the Blaine show. They are $20 and are not currently in any retail stores. I will work on that in the coming weeks. I will also ship them for free. Thanks Keith

Posts: 401 | Hello all. I have decided to build one more version of the Krook. I was informed over the weekend that there is somebody looking to build their version of this bait. I was going to wait till next year but here it is. It is the same design as the single blade but I have added two double 10 colorado blades to it instead. Same style bulging action as the single but the bulge created with the 10s is huge. This again can be bulged at very slow speeds (just enough to get the blades to spin) because the wood keeps the bait toward the surface. It is very easy to reel. It will be in the tank in Milwaukee. I will post pictures later today. Keith

Posts: 401 | I am almost sold out of my first run of the Krook and I have the Milwaukee and Blaine show coming up. I would like to offer some additional colors. I currently have the following colors. My web site should be done soon and when it is I will post pictures on it. Brown/Yellow with gold flake Black/Gold with gold flake Chartreuse/Black with gold flake Orange/Black with gold flake Red Fire Tiger with gold flake What other color options would folks be interested in? I appreciate the input. Keith

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Nice! One of the neater designs I've seen this winter, and my friend Ryan(Rylure) has been turning out some of the wackiest, wierdest, stuff I've seen of late. I think a few WI River fish might get to hear one of those in black and red, come May. Sort of a spin off of the Hellraiser Bear Paw that I already love, with excellent incorporation of the buz blades! Edited by Reef Hawg 1/28/2007 8:40 PM

Posts: 1243 Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | I was able to see the Double 10 Krook over the weekend. Not in the water, but I still had the chance to see it. After seeing the video of the single fluted blade in the water, wow, what a bait the Double 10 is going to be! That one has big fish written all over it!!! But how do you decide between the Double 10, the single fluted blade and the buzz? I guess I'll need to get all 3! Aaron

Posts: 401 | Just to let you know Rollie and Helen's called and placed an order for a bunch of baits yesterday. They are going to carry all three styles in many different colors. I hope to have some of their order filled for the Milwaukee show coming up. The baits they have at Milwaukee will all be custom colors. Also Bluewater Bait in Bemidji has placed a large order for all three styles of baits. They should be delivered in time for the Blaine show. Thanks Everybody. Keith
