Posts: 41 | are you able to take a camera into the musky shows? Just wondering how many people do? I like to look at all of the show special colors, but can never afford to buy all of them and it would be nice to rember some. after looking at so many baits I tend to forget some of them and it would be nice to have pictures.

Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | I don't see a problem with cameras in a show but why not just take a pad of paper and a pencil so you can write down what you like or saw. I'm sure with the correct name of items, you can more than likely find it on the internet somewhere. Just my .02.

Posts: 273 | The pointer brothers are fighting again. Can't the two of you just yell across the hall at one another... nevermind you guys are on break. PP the walters are still biting and people are starting to pick up some good ones. Jeff

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Now Sled, Muskie guys are not paranoid. They are 'involved'. Yep, one of the booths freaked when I tried to take a picture to display their product on MuskieFIRST last winter. Won't happen again, that's for sure.

Won't happen again, that's for sure. now THAT was funny! hey, here's an idea...we're going to put pictures of your baits up on the world's busiest single-species website so everyone can look at them for FREE! no...noo taking pictures...move away from the booth you industrial espionage agent!

Posts: 2865 Location: Brookfield, WI | Seems silly that a bait maker would be worried about a couple of pictures. If someone really wants to steal their ideas, they can pony up the $20-$30, buy one of the baits, and do some reverse engineering like the government did with those alien spacecraft that crashed at Roswell in 1947. Where do you think the technology for your fish locators and GPS systems came from, somebody just thought them up? Kevin Muskies from outer space.

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I honestly didn't get that either, lambeau, but it was something about people 'copying the lures'. Guess it escaped the fellows there that all anyone had to do was BUY one?

I didn't make it last year, but I always take my camera to the Minnesota Muskie Expo. I got some nice shots of all kinds of things, including Dick Pearson speaking. Nobody said squat. I take a lot of lure photos and stuff to keep busy in the winter as I don't ice fish. Here's a photo of the reel I bought last year. Hey, Anyone can stop by my booth and take some photos--I'm just glad to meet you all! Maybe not any "Super Close Ups" though--we're all a little paranoid though!! He-he! See you at the shows--cameras welcomed-stop by our booth. Duckman www.ducktaillures.com
