Posts: 2024 | We have a Canon Digital Elph and need a waterproof casing. I've run Google searches but can't seem to find a site that sells, exclusively, these casings. Anyone know a site that does? Does anyone have the same camera and know what model case it fits in? Thanks!

| I carry 2 cameras, sometimes 3. I use a waterproof duffel like scuba divers use. They are rubberized and watertight and you can trap air in them when you roll them up to seal them, and they float. Check www.sierratradingpost.com and search for duffel bags and you'll see them. The top flap rolls over, and then is connected by a clip, and I tell you...they are water tight. Want protection? I just throw some bubblewrap around the cameras. Cases are nice, but they aren't waterproof. Just what I do to keep them safe even if they fall overboard or if you find yourself out in the rain or waves. If you don't want the case for the boat, please disregard the preceding message. Location: The Yahara Chain | Gander Mountain sells the waterproof bags, like Beaver is talking about. They have several different sizes. They are in their canoe/kayak section. I use the smaller one for my cameras. | ||

I would opt to spend a little more to protect my camera. Also, you can shoot pictures with the camera right in these bags....you have to take camera out of the other bags (like beaver is refering to)....99% of the time, that is when you will drop them in the water. These can also be used to take pics underwater if you would like. ....was just offering some help for the original poster.

Posts: 2024 | Let me clarify. I'm not looking to take pics underwater, though that would be extremely cool. I'm simply looking for a hard plastic protective case that you can shoot pictures through.
