After purchasing the new 7000ihsn, Abu made some improvements from the old one. I like my old HSN, but is there a way I could swap out the bearings to smooth this reel out. The old HSN sounds like a can opener as compared to the new one. And will ABU offer that new power handle because I would like to replace all my 7000 handles to the new one. Kdawg

I have not checked if the bearings will swap out or not yet. Much of the smoothness in the new models comes from it being and instant anti reverse as opposed to the old style. I would give Abu a call at 1-877-777-3850 and ask if the bearing will swap out. I would also aske them about the handle at that time as I am sure that you would be able to purchase a new style handle and it will fit the older 7000's.
