Subject: boat wiring

I am re-wiring a boat that was flooded, and basically starting from scratch. It's a 17' console boat, and my thought was that I should run two main leads from the battery up to a fuse panel in the console, and run the wires to the switches from there for the two livewell pumps, the lights, and the bilge. Has anyone here ever done this? Any advice or clues on where to find a good fuse panel to start with? Thanks!

Check Cabelas and Bass pro marine catalogs. They should have everything you need. I might suggest going with a bigger gauge wire for trolling motor.
