Very cool fish indeed! However I am not sure that it is a true albino. I think the eyes should be white as well. I know the DNR netted one a while back. Could be albino though.

I'd say that's one of the southern 'silver muskie' strain. I've seen quite a few of these, wish I'd hooked a few more than I have, though. m

Interesting fish. My first reaction was that it looked like some of those Cave Run/Green River fish. Then I noticed the background - looks like the Canadian Shield to me. The eyes don't have to be white, characteristically they should be pink with a deep red pupil. I see some coloration around the pupil, but the pupil itself is still black. I'm not saying it isn't an albino because coloration and other albino characteristics could vary across species. Just pointing things out.

There are lakes in MN where the fish look just like that. It must have something to do with the water ph/nutrients/coloration etc.

That fish was caught by a good frind of mine on Jacks Lake just north of Peterborough Ont. He caught it a few years ago. He released it after the photo. Sadly this fish was taken from the lake by a local last year (per. comm.), or at least another "albino" around the same size. I beleive the correct term is "leucistic"

I think Mike means pink. Eyes that lack pigment are pink.

I caught a ski last summer that was almost golden...it was a bright yellow. Wish I would have got a pic but I was alone.

Doesn't look anything like Eger Winter to me, but Mikie stated that it looks a lot like Cave Run and Green River fish for sure. I agree..
