Piker,
Check with Beaver Slivinski. He had a few mint older vintage baits the last time i talked to him.
You usually can't go wrong with HR. Unfortunately, they are not cheap.
Good Luck in your search. Pikiespawn

I just sent a box of over 25 to a friend. He's going to keep what he wants and send the rest home. They range from 6-10", from 1999 to 2008. I'm keeping ones that were gifts or have special value to them. I'm getting rid of all of the ones that I'm saving. The plan is to eventually have no gliders in my boat but the ones that I built. Keep an eye on the board to see when I get my returns.

On a side note, I remember when people thought that I was crazy to pay $45 for a lure. That's when they were brand new for $45. I've had HR's from 1998 to 2008 and have seen all of the changes on the way. I have the lures prior to 2002 that have anywhere from 10-13 individual weight holes, to newer ones that are just weighted nose and tail. I've watched the changes in paint jobs too. I don't think that you could ever buy a bad one. But I'm getting rid of all of mine except for the ones that were Fathers Day or Birthday presents. I can't make lures as fast as I used to be able to, but the quality is as good and the paint jobs are way better than back when I started. Soon I'll be fishing my lures almost exclusively since I make cranks, gliders, top waters and bucktails. After it took me a week to make a glider for the big contest, I went to Lake Michigan to throw it and found it works as well as any glider that I've ever thrown. I love making lures, so that's how I'm going to fill those Lakewoods (actually I'll be getting rid of those at the swap too). Oh, back to my original thought. JW makes very nice lures, but I can't believe that he's selling many at $72-$82. If he can get it in this economy, more power to him. I hope that I get healthy enough some day soon so I can offer lures to the members of m1st again. I guarantee that they will be the best quality that I can make, and will be half the price or less, as usual.
