| I see some of you have had some troubles with the Calcutta reels. I am interested to know what they were. I have three myself and have never had any problems, but would like to know what to look for to stop anything from going wrong with them.

| I had a problem with my calcutta the year before last. the handle and spool would go backwards twitching or using jerkbaits. Had the anti reverse bearing replaced and have not had a problem last year. |

| Had the same problem as Todd, twice and am sending it in again. Also had the drag fail twice(but hasn't since they put in the new dartanium system). The reel has been reduced to sucker duty. |

| Right away. During the first season of use that is. Had it 7 or 8 years now, and have had to send it in 5 times. |

| I only use the 400s and I have to admit that I have no problem with them. Keeping my fingers crossed though.

| The problem with my calcutta was at the end of it's first season. No problems since. I use it on my bucktail rod and not so much for jerkabaits but many people do without failures. |
