| This is a 42" musky with some deformities around the gill. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Hard to see it very well, but from what I can see it looks like CPR damage that's healed up. I've caught fish with gill rakers torn nearly off yet healed, so that may be it. |

Location: Oregon | I have always found it odd just how many musky seem to have deformities and injuries. In comparison to say bass, crappie, steelhead, salmon, cats, etc., it's far more common to see major color differences, odd fins, gills, etc. with musky, weird.
