Those darn Pirates Dave! Stole yer fish ey?
I hit Vilas Co. with a buddy for 4 days of fishin and drinkin ...we did pretty well...boated 9 fish 36-45"...Wednesday moved about 6 total, boated 1, thursday had a good day moving about 17 fish boating 4, Friday was brutal moving only 2 fish, boated 1, and Saturday was slow for the most part except the window from sunset to moonrise...moved about 10 fish total, boated 3

Big bucktails and Lee's chopper over cabbage and coontail was the ticket

I bet you wouldn't have won the PWT, that was a trip. Most of the Pros were taking BIG numbers of 'eyes from 22 to 27.9999. Slot there is NO fish between 22 and 28, only four allowed, no culling, and only two allowed OVER 28". Ron Seelhoff put on a clinic breaking the Mille Lacs mold trolling leadcore deep, pulling Shad Raps.

By the way, he took Angler of the Year, E-cell Heavyweight, and the win, for $102,000. Nice week of work.

That makes over $650,000 he's won in his PWT career.

Don't worry about the Pirates, Steve, just do what you do best and keep spanking those Mille Lacs Muskies. I have an email sitting on my XPS, didn't send for some reason. Call me tomorrow; I have some inside stuff from the PWT about BIG muskies....

Yar!
I fished Mountwood Lake in West BG Virginia Saturday. New water for me, electric motor only lake where the state record Tiger came from (everyone I met on the lake told me so!). Moved one in a shallow, woody cove, water temps at surface at 81*. Got to try out a couple new baits and see some new territory, best part was clearing some of these bullfrogs from my mind.

"Did you ever wake up with the bullfrogs on yer mind?" m

Trip from hell, the wheels on the boat fell off!

Friday sit in Pine city for over an hour going only 3 miles.
Friday stopped by cook's finest for rolling through a stop sign, cop does not ask for drivers liscense, hows the Evinrude run, my boy just bought one, great sir not a problem, love it! Thanks have a good nite, just stop next time.
Friday nite get to first spot, foot pad only works only with the continous on.
Saturday morning, lose upper 40"+ fish.
Saturday 10am hear clunk when running boat, call tech, need adjust linkage, Head back to do the work, its not the linkage, lower unit gone!
Sunday Hooks get 40" class fish on 3rd spot
Slip in boat and break his reel handle
Rain over nite cure momentary button on foot pad
Lowrance 102 is blinking beaping, turning itself on and off, had to uplug
Footpad will not turn right
Marine radio mike back falls off, then it stops working.

Wondering if my luck would have changed if the cop would have just given me a ticket friday nite.

Went up with DaveJ for a weekend of muskie fishing. Added my son Eric at the last moment. Fished hard Saturday with little luck. A few fish seen, and a couple pike, and bas. Fished a new water later Saturday, and I liked what I saw. Raised a couple, but again, no muskies in the net.

Sunday was better. Saw a bunch of fish, and Dave got a small one, and Eric got his first casting fish, a mid 30"er, on a Top Raider. Saw the whole thing, and it was nice the fish T-boned the bait. Congrats, Eric!

Thanks, Dave. Always have a great time fishing with you. Lots of laughs, even with a youngster in the boat!

Troy..hehehe. We are laughing with you.... I thought I had tough luck, losing the fish of a lifetime on LOTW for the third year running. Did crack some dandies but never seem to be enough to forget the 'ONE'...
