great day...that lake sure seems to be full of hungry fish!
to make this into a fishing report, could you share with everyone what type of water you were on (if not the actual lake), patterns you discovered, times or other useful information?

It was a small fertile lake in Vilas...stained water...great cabbage (broad leaf) outside of the reeds...most fish were hunkered down in the deep cabbage, 6-9 feet, throwing stuff over there heads either fast or loud got them turned on...
just kept making passes thru the best looking stuff all over the lake and kept moving fish...fish seemed to really turn on at sunset when we got the 2 bigger ones and a few more missed the baits
find the deep cabbage and cast! thats the report

Ended up boating 9 fish total for Dan and I, lost one each and had quite a few other follows and blowups...all 36-45" with about a 40" avg...we fished 5 different lakes and caught fish on all but one...Dan got the 2 bigger ones and also had his first 3 fish day ! Fish were moving after dark as well...big bucktails and Lee's Chopper were the hot baits..
Here is Dan with the big one of the trip at 45"

The '86 Asstracker was nicely slimed !!!!

horseshoe? what horseshoe? heck we didn't even make a cast before 9 a.m. most days..and we even napped in the boat one day! those cute bartenders at the Beaver Lodge got us drunk!
