I have a Lowrance 3500C on my counsel and all my electronics are running "hot" as they are not on a switch. For some reason, my 3500C continuously turns itself on and just beeps and the screen flashes with the origninal warnings that you see when you first turn your unit on about not relying on it for navigational purposes etc...

It will also flash and beep at times when I am on the water, but primarily when I have it in my garage and everything is shut off. I have been out 3 times in the last hour to turn it off and I finally disconnected it and brought it in the house. I purchased the unit from Reed's Sporting goods in MN. Do I need to bring the unit directly to them, or can I take it to anyone who deals with Lowrance to have it either fixed or replaced? It was brand new when I got my rig less than a month ago.

Thanks for any tips or advice.

I have both a 3500c and a 102c. I had a very similar thing happen to me with the 102c (which is 3 years old now). I decided to change batteries and now it works fine. It would blink/beep constantly and turn itself on after I turned it off... the only way to turn it off was to disconnect. When I swapped batteries it was back to normal and has woprked flawlessly since.

By the way... for the money both the 102c and the 3500c have been awesome!

Check your battery voltage, and the connections. When you remove power, and reapply, the units can turn themselves on. I find it highly improbable that two units would have the exact same problem.
