Posts: 507 | We fished for 13 hours Saturday on Pelican and George without moving a fish. Wow. Gliders, Dawgs, Topwater, Hiar, Spinnerbaits on every type of structure out there. LOTS of baitfish and hooks, just no interested fish for us. I sucked wind BAD Saturday, and can't come up with a single thing I could have done to contact an active fish. The PMTT in Eagle River produced 36 fish that same day. Go figure! How did you do last weekend?

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I have been finding more than ever this year that lakes are either on or off. We had a good night Friday moving several fish and having one release itself for us right at the side of the boat. Saturday I was participating in the sucking windfest with Mr. Worrall on Pelican. We only moved one fish, luckily it ate a topwater and hit the net bag. Sunday we went back to the hot water and in a half day trip clients managed to prematurely release 4 in a half day trip with three of them being larger than 40". Finding the waters that are on right now is the key in the Rhinelander area. Theedz, wanna guess which is hot right now??????

Location: Athens, Ohio | Norm! Hey, I hope you got your lake book back OK? I spent Saturday out at Piedmont Lake, Ohio. RAZE told me that the weekend Mauser and i were in Rhinelander, his boat boated seven muskies there, said the lake was polluted with them. That was not the case on Saturday. Blue skies and warm sun combined with clear water kept my skunk on, I did have one fish flip me the fin, though. m

Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | saturday early am. we had some really serious storms that delayed our start to around noon and we had action starting about the 5th cast (i had j.b. and sue again for the mason auction) ... sue had one on and lost it around mid-retrieve. the scattered t-storms were brewing big time and we went to watch the big one cruise through from the safety of the deck at pitlicks resort ... got back out on the water around 5pm. and spent some time main lake hump dawgin' and crankin' and then settled in for the topwater time ... lots of action with me missing a big fish (i tried not to be pissed, but j.b. and sue could tell that it broke a piece of my heart) ... man, it tried to eat my hawg wobbler and i just couldn't quite stay in the game enough ... back hook eater again, but for sure 45 + .... crap!!!! so, on we go and i give the hawg wobbler to j.b. because obviously the fish wanted to eat it .... i started snack-potting and on down the way i got a fish to do the dance ... this fish was so hot i think it was hitting it's own face with it's tail ... wham ... a 37-38 for us. after that we had action from 3 more fish so all-in-all we had around 10 fish moving and really should have scored 3-4 times, but took the 37ish fish as a fine consolation to a fun day on the water.

Location: Contrarian Island | Hit it hard friday from 1pm to sunday at 1pm....had something wack my mag dawg over baitfish / open water friday eve..partner lost 2 good fish over 40" one being very nice on a bucktail in 5 min. at moonset / sunset time as well friday nite...then I was 1/3 of the "sucking wind" day on Pelican with SWorrall...we threw everything at em but they just laughed at us I think... good day on the water none the less... Sunday fished a few hours before heading home and again had a nice fish hit a dawg but couldn't hook up and got one small fish in the net.... I agree with what Norm said...the lakes this year are either on or off ...lakes 1 mile apart can make all the difference!

Posts: 20218 Location: oswego, il | Just got back from the Flambeau Flowage for a week with my family. I did not get alot fo casting time in but my kids and grandfather sure did. I mainly put them on action fish, caught alot of pike, seen a few small muskies and my 84 year old grandfather caught his 2nd musky. Small but he was happy. Windy all week, boat control was fun but we still had a blast. Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | It was very tough sledding this weekend on Crescent Lake. We saw only one muskie all Saturday, but had a nice new Tuffy come up to us on Saturday night, The World Famous Ghoti stopped by to say hi. Sunday, I caught a 33", on a Red Dragon Drop Belly Glider from 15' of water, that we measured three times but it still came to 33", and pulled a 37" off a crib, with a Depth Raider, in 18' of water. We only had 2 half hearted follows all weekend, and saw two just swimming by without any indication that we were even in the area! Water Temps were in the middle 70's.
