Thinking about heading out to Minnetonka in the AM. Any thoughts on an area to fish on the NW side of the lake. Any insight would be appreciated, I've never been on the lake fishing Musky.

Not trying to be a smart a**, but, Get yourself a good map... Tonka has endless great places to fish. They are not that hard to find when you start looking, 5 minutes with a map and you will easily circle 20 spots that could hold fish, start working em. Another easy option is to start fishing the docks, especially those that have some deeper water nearby.

Good luck.

Getting out on the lake you can easily fish shorelines and boat docks, see and fish the marked reefs, or just watch where others are fishing. There are plenty of fish all over and many of them see alot of lures each year. Best advice I would give is to fish during the week. The weekends are OK if you are off the water by 10-11 a.m. We had a 16' Lund we really liked, but got pounded so we moved to an 18' with a 115. That allows us to drive defensively. When you go under the Arcola Bridge between two 40+ footers and the water splashes you from all directions and you are looking straight up at the boats, you learn to watch everything. Have a safe time and enjoy the lake!
