Well, after about a week of record or near-record heat, it SNOWED on my lawn last night and this morning...

And this is supposed to be a desert.

On a little better note, I did get out for a couple hours yesterday morning and had a couple follows; small fish, but still the right shape and color.
Also, the CO called me and asked about the procees for submitting a state record. Apparently, someone has another one that is close (has to be over 31 lbs.). We'll see.

You're in the desert and seeing snow? And on the same day, here in the "tundra" of northern MN it's in the 90s.....

What do you know about tigers in Lake Powell?
Lake record for nothern pike is 24 lbs's in 2003, is it possible tigers have already been introduced?

Some have been 'put' in there. The hatchery where they are raised is just nearby, some have probably 'escaped' (things get flushed out of the ponds all the time, some might make it to the reservoir as unlikely as it would seem). That being said, with about 90,000 surface acres, a few escapees make for a pretty poor fishery for them, in fact, if we put the entire state's quota in there it would still pretty much suck. So yes they are there, but personally, I sure wouldn't waste any time targeting them. FYI - They caught a C & R record northern pike in there that was just over 49 inches - caught by a 12 year-old that had no second thoughts about keeping it.

Hopefully with the gizzard shad doing well forage will increase and make for good fishing for years to come. What a thrill that must have been for the youngster!!

Oh by the way, what is the "other" lake with tigers in Utah besides Pineview Res??
I know you could tell us but then.....
