Posts: 350 Location: WESTERN WI | Those Trackers are nice. Went fishing a few weeks back with a PWT angler in a 21' Tracker, Tundra. Talk about room, HUGE! I nearly soiled myself with joy when the 225 Merc planed out just under 70 mph. Great rigs!

| Norm's green Tuffy found the stumps early and often, i cleverly avoided them with mine. also, the muskies cleverly avoided everyone out there! only 4 scorable fish caught by 70 boats in two days of cold front city. largest was 43 i believe. not sure who won, but i think Bryan Schaeffer and Pantlegger (Mike Bruggink) took 3rd place with a 39. my partner Tim caught a 33 1/4...we just couldn't stretch that last 3/4" out of it. also late in the day saturday my partner hooked into a very nice fish (mid-40s?) that managed to unhook itself on a deadfall after about 45 seconds of doing what it wanted and ignoring his efforts. Dave Lutz saw us hook up and started filming...he ended up getting the early release followed by Tim falling down in the boat and me throwing the net overboard. heartbreaker. i know of a couple other people who lost "money" fish, including Norm and Big Gun. the trick seemed to be to hit them on the head. aside from the fishing, the event itself was a blast - the best raffles anywhere (i walked away with a bunch of baits, a couple magazine subscriptions, and a new Record reel) with all proceeds going directly to stocking fish back into Petenwell. THANK YOU Todd Forcier for running such a well organized and hosted tourney, and putting everything back into the fishery!!! http://www.forciersguideservice.com should have full results and pictures within a day or two. | |||

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Mike Lazers caught a 43.5"er about 50 yards behind us 15 minutes before the tourney ended to win it all. Excitement is an understatement, describing the mood in their boat upon netting that fish. It almost spooked me from my shorts when they hollered, as I did not even know they were back there(they were fishing the opposite side of a point that we were. Kudos Mike, and all who stuck fish. I missed a 34" yesterday and my partner lost one that we didn't see(didn't seem real big though). Great event as always, and thanks to Todd for a great show! Also an even bigger thanks to Todd for half of the proceeds of the tourney coming to our club for stocking this fall. Half of the tourney $$ will go to Kalepps for Greenies, and half will go with our stocking fund to purchase Leechers from MN again. That, in addition to the 2500 fish we will receive in a week or so from Spooner, to raise in our ponds, should make for an exciting year here!

| here are the results from Todd's website: http://www.forciersguideservice.com DAY 1: 70 boats, 140 contestants started this morning in pursuit of some muskies. Fishing hours were from 7am to 4pm. Morning water temps were 57.4 degrees, warming to the low 60’s. Only two fish found the bottom of the net, a 41 ¼ and a 39 ½-incher. Both fish were caught in the river. DAY 2: Day two started with sunny skies and water temps around 59-degrees. Sixty 68 teams were looking for their first fish and two teams were looking to add to Saturday’s catch. Fishing hours were 7am to 12pm (noon). Conditions are tough, the cold fronts going through and the water level receding wasn’t making it easy to provoke these fish into biting. With 20 minutes left to go in the tournament two fish were caught with in 5 minutes of each other. First report was a 37-incher caught in Devils Elbow and a 43 ½-incher caught in the river. Three of the four fish were caught on glide baits, working them slow and the fourth fish was caught on a spinner bait. Several reports of fish hooked but lost. One of our lake judges was walleye fishing and commented...all his walleyes were barley hooked. Could this be related to the hook and lost muskies? ---------------------------------------------------- Back at the Chalet Restaurant for the awards ceremony we awarded four teams: 4th Place – Jim & Jiggs Kutschenreuter with a 37-inch musky, 42 points, $800. 3rd Place – Bryan Schaffer & Mike Bruggink with a 39 ½ - inch musky, 52 points, $1300. 2nd Place – Kip Kingsfield & Chad Boivin with a 41 ¼ -inch musky, 59 points, $2500, Saturday big fish 1st Place – Mike Lazers & Mike Young with a 43 ½ -inch musky, 68 points, $4500, Sunday big fish Since no other fish were caught 5th place money ($500) was decided by the contestants to be used for stocking. New for this year was the “On the water” raffle. Sponsoring this raffle was T-N-T Tackle Company and Frabill. This raffle was free to the contestants; we picked a number between 1 & 70. Each contestant was presented with: 1- TriKlops, 1- TriGlide and 1- Undertaker to from T-N-T Tackle Company and the team received a Lure retriever from Frabill. Our winning team was boat 69, Dave Reynolds & Eric Millard...congratulations to them and a big "thank you" to our friends at Frabill and T-N-T Tackle Company.
