Posts: 32881 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Come on guys, this is serious!! I'm going to give away a MuskieFIRST Coffee Mug for the first COMPLETELY correct answer, as in the correct name. Don't need the scientific classifiaction, just the fish's proper name. I'm pretty sure fred isn't it.

Posts: 1769 Location: Algonquin, ILL | Joel, NO YOU DID NOT BEAT ME, you asked if that was a "AMUR PIKE" indicating that you were not sure, I said it is an "AMUR PIKE" and included his name "FRED" as well, Now JIM V is stating that it is not "FRED" but his twin brother "BART" so I guess we both loose This web site has info on all kinds of fish http://www.fishbase.org Check it out some interesting stuff

Posts: 1769 Location: Algonquin, ILL | Working as a Data Analyst I did some checking this is what I found Fish Common Name = “AMUR PIKE” no argument there Fish Sir Name: If you convert the Letters of the given Sir Names “FRED” or “BART” To the corresponding Greek Alphabet letter and then convert that into the Chinese numerical value you will Get a English value of 10,15,8,14. Now convert these numbers back into the Standard English alphabet’s Corresponding letters and you will get 10=J, 15=O, 8=H, 14=N What do you get “JOHN” HA HA, I WIN

Posts: 1769 Location: Algonquin, ILL | Tuffy1: Nerd is it . well if you apply the formula to "NERD" you will get Standard english numbers 10, 15, 5, 12 10=J, 15=O, 5=E, 12=L, OR "JOEL" For Steve's question check the web site provided earlier Edited by JohnMD 5/11/2006 2:46 PM
