I could use a little advice...

I'm thinking of making a small rear casting deck (about 18") for my Tuffy Renegade which would involve moving the seats forward about 6". This would be nice for my (older) Dad and others who fish outta the back.

The casting deck design I got down, but am unsure about what's involved with moving the pedestals forward. Can you walk me thru the steps? Anything to worry about in drilling those new holes? Should I plan to put down new carpet for the floor?

I don't know for sure but I'm assuming glass boats have cross members that make the boat more rigid. Maybe not. Aluminum boats do for sure. When I bored new holes in my floor I looked for the screws that attach the plywood to those cross members and made sure I was avoiding them.
Otherwise, it should be a pretty straight forward modification.

Thanks Dawg, I'll look for that.

Anyone here ever done this on a Renegade? The bass boat guys aren't much help...
