Does anyone have any experience with Thermoil or the Minnkota brand battery additive. Do these products work?

Derek, "There's a fool born every minute and two more born to take his money." This product will only help you if you abuse/overcharge your lead-antimony "wet-cell" batteries, i.e., help reduce water loss. It was specifically designed for "vented" lead-antimony type wet-cell batteries that were being damaged from water loss because of severe overcharging and lack of proper maintenance............... Most marine trolling batteries are lead-calcium.

Here's their website faq page, read very carefully!-> http://www.thermoilbatteries.com/faq.htm It's kinda like one of those old time medicine show performances. Better yet- give me your dough, or just shove it under my door if I'm not home.

Ask yourself a simple question? if this product is so great, why don't all wet-cell batteries come with this stuff in them? According to their website- it's been around for 10 years.

Just charge your batteries properly. If you have wet-cell's marine batteries check the electrolyte levels periodically and replenish any loss with distilled water. Use the money you save to buy another muskie lure.

As an electrical engineer and someone who also works for one of the world's largest users of deep cycle batteries (uninterruptible power systems-UPS's) for + 20 years, I would never use this stuff in my own batteries! So I guess I have to say I don't have any experience with this product because what I read about it, tells me too stay away from it!
