I heard Dave Hebeda and Dave Dilly took 2nd with double 36's and Chris Drury and Aron Zorn took 3rd with a 40.5. I don't know who the winners were with a rare and impressive 49" from the chain.

Yep, a 49 won it. The tournament filled too. There were something like 18 fish caught, I don't have the exact details. Was alot of fun. I will try and get a pic or have fishstalker post a pic since he and his partner boated the fish.

A 49 is not rare on the chain. If you look back other upper 40's have been caught in that tourney ...I along with others have caught fish over 50 in the chain...It seems to be a quiet group though...one of those bodies of water that once you figure it out.....Ben

The tournament results can be viewed on the FRV home page and there is release photo of the 49 on the FRV message board. Todd is right, the hold photos are in bad shape, I'm gonna see what I can do to improve it.

Full photos and tournament recap to follow in a few days.

Thanks to all who participated and organized it. It was another well run tournament for the FRV Chapter. I wonder what the fall tournament will produce?

Congrats to Dave squared for coming in second! Most every other tournament that would have won it.

Is there a better picture of that big girl, and will there be a press release?

1) There is a release photo on the FRV message board but there's nothing better from a hold perspective.

2) Yes, a press release is being prepared and will be issued in the near future.
