That is a very cool article. One thing's for sure, if bull sharks were there in any numbers, Esox species would no longer be the top predators in the food chain.

there are not big sharks in Wisconsin? I heard of a world record that came from the Hayward region!

I hate to tell you all, but this could be a reality some day. Here are a few links about Bull Sharks.
http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/sharks/FS_bullshark.htm
http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects/sharks/species/Bullshark....

Bull Sharks are known to be in the Mississippi river as far north as Illionois. That doesn't mean they don't occasionally wander even farther north. It is totally possible that an individual Bull Shark could swim up to the Minneapolis area. Just because none have been found there yet, doesn't mean they have never been there or aren't there now. After all, how long would it take for one to swim from Illinois to Minneapolis? Maybe a few weeks?

Maybe Bull Sharks will come up and eat the asian carp heading our way. Maybe....

I'd guess the "World Record Bull Shark Alliance" will have the old Hayward record thrown out. (couldn't resist!!! )

One can bet if Louis Spray was alive today, he would catch three world record Bull sharks in a row without catching a slightly smaller one in the process. Yeah, right!!!
