Posts: 2754 Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Hi- I think the closest WI State Park campground's are probably over by Boulder Junction-> http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/Org/land/Forestry/StateForests/SF-NH-AL/ On the Michigan side it's probably Marion Lake State National Forest Campground, east of Watersmeet MI. ->http://hunts-upguide.com/campgrounds.html Marion Lake might be a good pick as it also has muskies. There is a campground on Lac Vieux Desert -> http://www.landolakes-wi.org/DisplayMember.cfm?recordID=104 Have fun! Al

Posts: 113 Location: Green Bay, WI | There is a state campgrounds on West Shore road. Randy is right it is rustic but is nice the only thing the landing is very shallow if you have any size boat you will have to go to another landing. If it was me I would go to North Shore Campground as mentioned earlier. Jay

Check out Spectacle Lake. It's about 15 minutes from the lake, but very quiet and "woodsy". Spaces are spread out so that people aren't on top of one another. Beav
