Posts: 714 Location: Rhinelander, WI | I want to offer up a huge thanks to the local business who supported the Pelican Lake proposal from start to finish. If you get the chance please support these businesses and tell them thank you, also spread the word and have your buddies support them also. This is the way we can show other businesses how important these issues are. First off we had great support from “The Pelican Lake Musky Mart” and “Nelson’s Choice Bait and Tackle” Chuck and Kristy Nelson did a great job of helping spreading the word. Please when in Rhinelander support their shop located on Business 8 right across the street from the old K-Mart building. Wade and his crew from the Musky Mart spread the word to many locals on the lake, they are located right on Hwy 45 in Pelican Lake, please if you are heading north schedule your gas stops here and tell them why. Plus his gas is normally right in line with the stations in Antigo. They also have a nice selection of lures and malt beverages. Wade was very much in support of this and was one of the first businesses we talked to about the proposal, he was behind it all the way. If you are looking for a good place to stop after a long day of fishing both Christian’s Pit Stop and The Lake View Inn supported the proposal, both are located on Hwy G on the south side of the lake, The Pit stop is east of the big landing and Lake View Inn is just west of the landing. Both places are deserving of a stop if you find yourself nearby. Steve Suick pledged his support early on and even though it was a highly political issue was willing to put the company name on the proposal, the same with Joe Fitante. Please remember them then next time you are looking for a jerkbait, crankbait or replica. If you want, drop them a letter of thanks. And if you are looking for a guide in the Rhinelander area, Wild’s Musky Guide Service, Oneida Esox Guide Service and C&R Guide Service (Roger Sabota) all put there names on the proposal. Oneida hung up his shingle as his primary job became to busy, but if you see him please give him your thanks. Also if you are in the Antigo area and are having back problems Andy Krueger of Krueger Chiropractic also pledged is support of the proposal. He is located in Antigo right on Hwy 45 at the intersection 6th Avenue. Look for the road construction right in front of his place this summer. (Sorry Andy) And a huge thank you goes out to MuskyFirst.com and Steve Worrall for all their help and support, they also put their name on the original proposal. Thank you to all the supporters and if you get the opportunity please show them how much we appreciate it. I’ll be going to Nelson’s later today to purchase a new reel. Again the list is as follows: Musky Mart, Pelican Lake, Hwy 45 Pelican Lake Nelson’s Bait and Tackle, 1110 Lincoln St, Rhinelander, WI 54501, 715-369-1900 Christian’s Pit Stop, Hwy G, Pelican Lake Lake View Inn, Hwy G, Pelican Lake Suick Tackle Company, 630 Industrial Park Rd., Antigo, WI 54409, 715-623-7883 Wild’s Musky Guide Service (Norm Wild), 715-627-4759 Oneida Esox Guide Service (John Stellflue) C&R Guide Service (Roger Sabota), 715-369-2283 Fitante Taxidermy, N4598 Hwy 45 &47, Antigo, WI 54409, 715-627-7662 Krueger Chiropractic LLC 436 Superior, Antigo, WI 54409, 715-623-4687 MuskyFirst.com, we all know where to find them. Thanks!!!!!!! Nail A Pig! Mike Edited by MRoberts 4/13/2006 9:39 AM | ||
