Location: Racine, Wi | Is that the green reel with the thumbar and the brake control where the clicker goes (I forget and am too lazy to check at the moment)
Anyway, if it is, the one that I have has been great. It is amazingly smooth, and handles well. I took the brake control out of the real though, as I didn't like the extra control on the left side plate. Didn't effect the reel at all. |

Location: Chicago, Beverly | D5 is the gold one that replaced the C5 which was the green one. I have the C5 also, no complaints here, have not heard anythig=ng about the D5, a red saltwater version is also available on ebay once in a while |

Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | I used mine for all of one day before I got rid of it. The line guide doesn't move when you cast which results in backlashes. Stay away from this reel. |
