Posts: 389 Location: Corning, Iowa | Well, I have been trying to get envirotex in a spray can, through a hobby store in Des Moines. They called the Envirotex company, and they said they only have it in the bottles. Doug

Just an FYI - Envirotex in a spray can is NOT the same as the 2-part epoxy you have to mix. I believe it's essentially a polyurethane.

Posts: 12 | I agree with Gale. Every lure that I have coated with the Spray can envirotex will react with any rubber tail bait that it comes in contact with. You get that sticky mess. Bait starts to pick up dirt and looks bad. Just my opinion, Thanks, Roger b

Posts: 4266 | I just talked to the tech people at ETI-USA, the makers of Envirotex, and they said that the spray is an "Acrylic Resin". Envirotex Lite is an "Epoxy Resin". Very nice people to talk to if you have questions. 707-443-9323 Beav

Posts: 4266 | One other thing that they added was ....... "It's not Envirotex Lite in a can, but if you TAKE YOUR TIME and allow plenty of dry time between coats, you can build up a very hard top coat using several coats on top of each other." I've been using it to do Rapalas for walleye fishing for a few years, and I'll do 4 coats of spray-on with 8 hours in between coats, and it lasts longer than anything Rapala ever put on a lure. Beaver,I ordered some cans, and have been useing it. I've got three coats on some baits. I've really been putting in on thin. Is this right? Thanks Doug

Posts: 4266 | Yeah. Repetative thin coats is better than doing one or two thick ones. Just allow enough drying time between layers. Beav
