| What do you guys like best and why?? 10" Slammer Minnow baits or 10" Slammer Shad baits?
What is the difference in how they run, and which model catches more fish?? |

| the minnow has more thump and just runs better overall. not much of a profile difference in those two baits anyway |

Location: Greenfield, WI | The shad body style can take more speed when trolled, than the minnow style. They both have very different vibrations. |

| The Shads run deeper, faster and have a tight wiggle whereas the Minnows are a wide wobble/swimming action and can be run at dead-slow speeds. We mainly cast and troll the 10" Deep Minnow in the fall. I have yet to find a big solid body bait that has anywhere near the action at speeds of less than 2mph. The 10"Deep Minnow is also the bait all the Mille Lacs guides are using (Luke Ronnestrand, Steve Jonesi, Gregg Thomas, etc) with a lot of success in the fall.
During the warm summer months, try the Shads on a short line and go faster (3-5mph). Make sure you change out the hooks and split rings on all the big Slammers for beefier ones.
