Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | Got a spool of Cortlands new 80 pound Bronze Master Braid in the mail today, and it looks very impressive.
From the guys that I know that have used it, they are very very impressed with it and have switched from other brands to the new Cortland Bronze.
This stuff looks and feels like the real deal. Can't wait to try it out.

| The Masterbraid is pretty awesome line. I used it last fall, and was wishing I had it on more than a couple reels. Line just handled very very well. Casted well, didn't soak up a lot of water, seems to stay round... Great stuff...

50 lb 150 yards $21.95
300 yards $38.95
600 yards $51.95
1200 yards $99.95
80 lb 600 yards $57.95
1200 yards $109.95
My cortland rep told me that the 80 lb is going to come out in smaller spools sometime this year but for now this is what they are offering.
If you are interested in other prices on different lb test I could post more. It is offered from 10-200 lb.

| Poly gel spun line like Spectron and other manufactured lines is that is does not allow liquid to absorb in they line. Meaning the dye and gel are not able to stick. That is why when you spool line onto your reel you get the coating on your fingers. Over the life of a line the majority of that coating is gone. Cortland has developed a line that allows dye and coating to stick for the life of the line.
Cortland Bronzeback is also a tighter weave. Meaning there are more weaves per inch. More weaves means the roundness of the line is retained for the life of the line. With Bronzeback being stiffer and round, it spools better (does not dig in) and comes off the reel better then poly spun braid. I am told that backlashes do not dig in therefore are easier to get out. Good News for me.
Plus it is super strong line.

| Another benefit is that is a very soft line for a dyed superbraid. Most colored lines--Power Pro, Spiderwire, Tuff XP--are very stiff and cast like heavy mono until the coloring breaks down. Masterbraid casts and handles almost as well as an uncolored superbraid like Tuffline Plus in white.
