Posts: 619 Location: Verona, WI | My cousin is looking to take his son musky fishing in Canada (first trip their for either) and would like to find an action lake where they can have a decent chance at catching multiple fish. His son has only been out a few times so he's looking for a place where the kid won't have his confidence beat down to much (lol). They would consider a fly-in. Anyone have any recommendations? Posts: 7105 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | My experiences: Little Vermillion Chain near Sioux Lookout: 16 in 4 days (two guys) Stewart Lake between Vermillion Bay and Kenora: 4 in 3 hours (just me) Indian Lake on the Indian Chain: 4 in a day: 3 people Not amazing numbers, but good nonetheless.

| Canyon...hands down. My tourney partner has a place on an island there...and it is borderline ridiculous. | |||

Location: Des Moines IA | I'd go with Indian Chain, saw 19 fish following our sucker in 1 day, the first week of September. ...... Boated 4 that day ...... That's where I got my first muskie .......

Posts: 203 Location: Germantown, WI | For action I'd recommend the Kawartha lakes in Southern Ontario. I've been fishing Lower Buckhorn Lake in the Kawarthas for about 25 years. We spend a week there each Summer. Between my brother and myself we boat on average 20 muskies every week we spend there, but only about half of our fishing time there is spent fishing for muskies. The other half is spent fishing for bass. Our best week ever was 36 muskies landed. Two years ago we landed 30 muskies with 9 of those being over 40", 45" being the biggest. My personal best from the lake is 48" and I know of several 50" fish that have been caught. All the lakes in the Kawartha chain are good for muskies. Checkout the website for the Ontario Musky Alliance. There should be more info on the Kawarth chain and links to some of the Resorts. My buddy and his Dad came up for a week a few years ago and I guided him to his first musky. They've been coming back ever since and are now dedicated musky anglers. | I'd also recommend Indian Lake Chain. You'll see plenty of fish each day and catch a couple. Most aren't big, but its fun. Theres' plenty of water, water types, and structure that will keep you busy all week. The walleye fishing isn't bad either. A great resort to check out on the chain is Clark's Camp. JTM

Posts: 734 Location: Watertown, MN | Shane I would highly recommend Andy Meyer Lodge, Herbie can get you a fly into pincher, and will you get tired of catching low 30" fish, he also has boat on Stewart, Corner, and guides for Indian chain. Also could do a fly in for walleye and big northern on topwater. Also you can spend sometime on Eagle for a day or the evening after the day trips and have a shot at an Eagle Pig. Good luck Troyz

Posts: 199 Location: Anchorage | I give my shout to Canyon as well. Astounding numbers of 30 to 42in fish tight to shore, with many BIGGER fish that don't get hit over the open water structure. It's also only 10 minutes from the public landing on the Indian Chain as a second option.
