Stan,

No offense taken...it just sounded funny!

But seriously, I think we need to resolve the right hand forces into vectors as well. If we had oriented the Z-axis along the fish's longitudinal axis, we would not have had to resolve the right hand force into vectors; but since we did, I think we do.

Hey Guys!

Cute little discussion...

Just wanted to repost a few pics for you. They seemed to get buried by your volley there.

But I know you didn't do that on purpose, so...

Actually FEVER,

I was hired by the FWFHF and Stan by the WRMA (or was it the other way around...I can never remember) to come into this forum and hijack these threads with obscure references to mathematics & engineering mechanics. In that way attention can be diverted from the *real* issue (which I can never remember), until this issue slips into the dark recesses of unused hippocampal neurons.
The plan was working, but now thanks to you we have been found out.

Either that or I am a nerd who likes mechanics, lol...

But seriously, the 51" on the right in that first picture looks significantly smaller (mainly in girth but also some in length) than Louie's fish on the left. I wouldn't say it looks 12" shorter, but it does look shorter.

Missed you this weekend by the way--were you out fishing for the next world record? We expect full pictures of the account!

Fever if you think Detloff is 6'...then Louie must be 6'2".
Detloff is not 6'.

What are you saying here Bytor, how tall is he then? I've seen him at the shows, he looks every bit of 5'11"-6' to me. It's such a joke because would have to be 5'2" AND Spray would have to be 6'2" to justify the obvious discrepency.

Detloff stepped in it but good with that bunder this time, he'll be going down with Louie and the FWFHoF soon. Cheers!

I am not saying anything...other than John is not 6' tall. I am 6'2 1/2" and I know that I am more than 3" taller than John..probably 4"-5" taller than him. This has nothing to do with what I think about Spray's fish. Putting two pictures taken by different cameras next to each other proves nothing. If the Hall's same plane mathmatics doesn't hold up it should be easy to prove wrong. These internet "debates" don't mean anything to me...I am tired of them. Nothing will be proven on an internet forum. The MH forum has become a joke.

For the record I don't think Spray's fish weighed 69lbs..for whatever it's worth.
