I'm looking to upgrade the Tuffy this spring. I'm looking for a 125-135hp used four-stroke or Optimax. I would like to trade even up for my 2004 90hp Johnson 2-stroke. My motor only has 25 hours of run tim tops. If anyone has a lead on one somewhere in WI please email me, thanks for you help.

I'd give the larger dealers a call or email...Heckels, Jolins, MW, Skipper Buds possibly...etc...usually you can track something used down by doing that...

We found a 50 hp Merc 4 stroke that was basically brand new at Jolins in Boulder for our boat at the cabin and saved about 35% off what it would sell for new
Jolins has great customer service as well....

I dont have an awnser about outboard motors, but a question about your boat. I'm looking at the same boat except a tiller, was wondering if you have had any problems on any lakes.
i.e. too deep of vee for some launches? too slow? any help would be appricated, THANKS

JMac,

I owned a 1700 EDV Tiller and was able to launch it in a mud puddle if I wanted to. Great boat for two anglers... Fishes great, tows easy, runs good with a 60HP on it. Part of me wishes I still had my old one.

Curious, where did you find one?

It launches very good on most landings, I haven't come across one yet that I couldn't put in even on some real small lakes.
