Posts: 1023 Location: Lafayette, IN | I can't wait any longer so I'll start the thread... Fishcrazed and I spent 9 hours on Tippy Friday jigging Fuzzy Duzzits. I bet we didn't cast for more than 30 minutes combined. The result? I caught a wonderful 39.5 incher at 10am and Todd caught a fat 42 at 3:30pm. What a way to end the season! Not having fished in 15 degree temps before I had to think things through carefully. We had a plan, stuck with it and it paid off. We kept warm too. That's a bonus. Also bumped into 3 of our e-Friends on the water which is always a treat. How 'bout ya' all? Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]()

Posts: 194 Location: Southwest PA | Had a nice day on the water Saturday, but then catching a couple of fish helped. I'm sure it would have been a long ride home after fighting the snow and cold all day. Anybody else get out? Rich W Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]()

Posts: 2024 | Great girths on those fish. Was able to get out with the Pops. Caught two. No biggies. Still had fun.

Posts: 2112 Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | fishing this weekend never did pan out for my buddy and I. Deer hunting sucked. My buddy got a decent doe that I ended up butchering for him this morning. I did get some baits made this afternoon, though.

Got out for a couple of hours Friday afternoon and saw Fishcrazed release that beautiful musky as we trolled by testing MuskieFool's giant baits on Tippy. Had four follows yesterday on Tippy, one on a DD and three on Hughes River Shakers. ![]()

Posts: 1023 Location: Lafayette, IN | Muskyboy, Nice to see you and Kevin on the water. Hope to see you this winter at some of the shows. Fishcrazed appreciated the polite round of applause when we netted his fish. Sounded like a golfer sinking a putt. ![]()

Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | Went out on Pewaukee on Friday morning.. The launch at Smokies was frozen shut, but te West launch was wide open. Was out in 13-15 fow and had everything in my boat freeze up as the fron came in...reels, tell tale, lockers....headed back in in less than 2 hours. John Laimon at Smokies has some really cool Musky decals for boat/truck....you gotta see them. I'll ask John if we can some how get a picture.

Posts: 476 Location: WI | We fished Mad Chain for 8 hours Saturday. We boated three fish, but not the fall fatties we were hoping for. Most likely the last fish for me for the year was caught on a figure eight. My buddy went out Sunday while I was putting X-Mas tree lights up all day and boated 5, including a nice 37" tiger on MY sucker from the day before!! GotOne

Friday we broke ice to get out on the lake. Total of seven muskies in the boat. Four of the five fish I caught were on figure eights. Biggest was 45.5. Sunday it was much warmer, but lots of rain and wind. My boat had 12 muskies by the end of the day. Eight of the twelve fish caught by us were on figure eights. Last two trips out were simply amazing. Sunday was all smaller fish with a couple of 40 inch fish mixed in. Most fish were in the 38 inch range.

Posts: 880 Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | Broke ice to get out on Pewaukee on Saturday, sat the whole day with suckers next to Captain Mike and Dan Peckles and watched them swing and miss on the same fish for hours. Those 2 managed to bring it in though a nice 44.5"r near the end of the day. Rumor has it the Captain Mike missed a monster on Sunday, well Mike you still have a couple of days left to score that 101st for the year and if not your one hell of a sucker tosser..... Bruce

Posts: 667 Location: Roscoe IL | Fished Pewaukee Saturday. What a neat deal motoring through all the ice. That was the highlight of the day. No fish but enjoyed the time on the water. Congrats to those who did catch one, I know it wasn't easy! I was the one in the Blue & White Crestliner with the Honda 90 on back shivering his @ss off!! Sunday we ended the year on Monona in the rain. No fish but enjoyed the time on the water. To be totaly honest the best part of the day was the stop at Hooters in Janesville. I watched 5 football games at the same time, drank cold beer & had hot wings. Nice way to end the season. Man,, November can be stingy for me, but I know what can happen if your persistant. I will not go down without a fight next year either.
