Tomorrow I am hitting the water here in Central Wisc. I am going to be fishing a large weedy lake of 6000 acres. I am trying to simplify things because of the cold condtions expected. It is legal to troll this lake. I could cover lots of water while staying relatively comfortable. I could also drift some prime spots hanging suckers. I guess my question for all of you is which is the higher percentage presentation. A trolled lure in low 40 to high 30 degree water or a deeply placed sucker in and or around bait fish pods. I do know I could also do both. Let's hear what you all think. Good luck this weekend to all of you still hitting the water.

find the bait fish and drop a "fuzzy" down there with the suckers, would be my suggestion.
don't forget to hang on too.

I'd try both, though being familiar with that lake(pretty sure), I haven't had alot of trolling success there, but they do like suckers. Good luck, and hopefully the launches stay open.

Troll to locate pods of bait fish and then camp on the best looking pods with suckers and cast.

The key for either trolling or camping is the bait fish needs to be stacked up

Im pretty sure I know of a 6000 acre weedy lake also. if you can stand it, I heard casting and suckers have been going good. trolling is for sissies anyway
The breaklines have been producing well from a little birdy.
