Posts: 43 | Here is a picture of my first real Musky Ottawa river style 52 x26 without the American Tail Squeeze lol. About 45 lbs super fat thru the ice snow and pounding rain . Caught with the Muskie Legend Bill Craig in the Ottawa River Wed nov 9 2005 around 2 pm in the pouring rain and high winds with ice pellets of course, when the photo was taken it was the only decent weather all day that lasted for about 15-20 minutes Attachments ---------------- November92005OttawaRiverMusky52X26013.jpg (104KB - 177 downloads) November92005OttawaRiverMusky52X26014.jpg (114KB - 142 downloads) November92005OttawaRiverMusky52X26015.jpg (68KB - 142 downloads)

Posts: 1430 Location: Eastern Ontario | Definaltely wasn't fishing around these parts LOL We had 50+++ MPH winds that day with 5 to 6 foot waves and some rain but much to warm for snow and ice. I remember the ferry ride was like nothing I have ever seen and I've been out there in some big waves.

Posts: 43 | Just click on the zoom- at the top of the photos. The digital cameras never take a perfect picture when a guy that does not know how to use it takes the pictures and you are in a hurry to release her.

Nice fish, a beauty. My biggest fish came about 200 yards from were that was caught, a 54 many summers ago, off shore at that. Snow????? First snow fall up here is happening right now!!!!! Enough with the sugar coating! Trophy Muskie.....That fish was caught in "these parts" about 150km up river from you.

Posts: 1430 Location: Eastern Ontario | Nice fish and different coloring, I see you guys have lamprays out that way as well. We just had our first snow today and a lot of it ( snowed all morning but most was the wet stuff ), nothing will be left by tomorrow as it will be up to 57 in the morning. Man they are calling for 42 MHP gust again tomorrow.

Posts: 43 | Dogboy, that is a real 52 x 26 with a tape measure from nose to tail on the floor and a girth measure with a cloth tape measure. The picture was screwed up because the digital camera was almost not working due to the cold, I am the fat guy holding it with a 3x rainsuit over my xl floatersuit and I weigh in at around 215-220 on a good beer day lol.

I fish were you caught that fish. Technically that fish was not caught "in" the Ottawa I have also caught a few fish in there, and may have tangled with that fish the sunday before. I noticed the same mark on the tail while attempting to land her myself.....she got off. Lamprey? Have never seen one here but maybe? Posts: 43 | Two Rivers ,that fish was caught in the Ottawa River in Arnprior, we ran back up the Madawaska to take the photo only because of the wind and waves, that picture was taken in the only calmer window that day and aftyer she swam away like a bullet the wind howled again LOL . It did not look like a Lamprey mark to me but a funny scar almost like half moon ?

Posts: 1504 Location: Oregon | With all due respect, who really cares what the "length and girth" is....that is an awesome fish regardless. Congratulations! RM Edited by RiverMan 11/18/2005 10:04 AM
