I am sorry to hear that you and Mark will not be teaming up this year. I know that Mark's work schedule has made it increasingly difficult each year to partake in the WMT...and thats too bad. You both are a real joy to have on the tour and good guys to shoot the breeze with after the tournament is over.
If I may...I would like to give my personal endorsment of Ivan even though I am sure he doesn't need it, because he has really established for himself, a reputation on the tour as a highly skilled muskie angler and a true competitor! Ivan is a past WMT Champion and he has several top five finishes in other WMT events and even more top ten finishes. As he stated before...he has been competing in the WMT for 4 years and has qualified for the WMT's Invitational Championship all 4 years and that indead is quite an accomplishment. It seems that Ivan is always on fish and his percentage of " putting muskies on the board " is very high, and when you are that consistent, you are going to be giving yourself a lot of chances to win muskie tournaments or place high, and he does just that consistantly.
Again, Ivan is a great muskie angler and a strong competitor, I am glad to call him my freind.
Good luck in your search Ivan but make sure that you pick a partner that is going to compliment your style of fishing. You have been blessed before with partners that worked with you instead of against you in your quest to be successful on the tour. In a team event like the WMT is, chemistry is everything. You can have the two best muskie anglers in the world be partners but if they don't jell, it is going to be a long and unproductive season. I am confident that you will choose wisely.
