| Paul Hartman of the Minneasota Muskie Tournament trail has been raising muskies for stocking,,This spring we collected and stocked a nice batch of 22-30 inch muskies which will have a great chance for survival,,,,were gonna do it again this saturday!!!The pond will be re-seined on saturday Nov 5th
we will meet at the Perkins Restraunt in North Branch at 7:30 am,,have breakfast and then head on over to the rearing pond a couple miles away probbably in the 8:30am range,,The MMT along with the TC chapter of muskies inc has now purchased our own seining net but we NEED volunteers to help,,there should be 1000 fingerlings and a few dozen 25-30 plus inch fish to stock into White Bear lake,,
If you have Waders or hipboots definitly bring them but dont be discouraged if you dont have any,,there will be extra pairs and we do need people to do dutys on shore such has transfer fish to the dnr holding truck...
Ive done this a couple times now people and its alot of fun and intresting,,and when we take them over to the lake and you grab some and watch them swim off its very rewarding

| Sorry happy the parents are in town to see the new house so I have some entertaining to do this weekend. It sure would be nice if the MN DNR would allow you guys to put about 200 of those fingerlings into Calhoun. I still am a little puzzled as to why they are quitting the pure stain stocking into Calhoun. I may be wrong but it seems wrong to give up on that awesome fishery even if Rod Ramsell created it without authorization or whatever happened there.
Have you guys (MUskies Inc.) convinced them to keep stocking Calhoun? |

Talked to Zappatillo 'spelling' head of metro fisheries this spring about that very issue,,he said they manage it has a Tiger resource but are not ruling out purestrains in the future,,"pretty safe non commital answer",,bottom line more people need to call personally and insist on it,,,this winter I will approach the MMA and our MI group about sending a formal letter |

| Sounds great happy let me know what I can do to help. I called the head of the west metro fisheries awhile back, I forget his name, and conveyed my thoughts to him. The only thing he kept saying was "we are going to keep stocking Harriet". Tell me something I don't know. |
