The final day of the Ed Crossman Muskies Inc International Muskie Symposium was just as exciting and busy as days one and two. I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the Hoosier Musky Hunters MI Chapter for the excellent hospitality and well run event. Great job Hoosiers, you should be more than proud.

Final Primary Biology presentations before the close were Tom Mosindy's Lake of the Woods Angler Diary and Terry Margenau's Effects of a Single Hook Live Bait. Both were fascinating as applied to many of our thread conversations here at MuskieFIRST. I will have the Audio files converted on the Single Hook presentation and Dr. Casselman's opening comments when I get back off the road tomorrow, and the panel discussion directly after.

The panel was hosted by Steve Heiting and impaneled Jim Saric, Musky Hunter and Industry Perspective, Bill James, Indiana DNR Agency Perspective, Tim Simonson, WIDNR Biology Perspective, Jim Diana, University of Michigan Research Perspective, John Casselman, Ontario Research Perspective, Steve Budnick, Muskies Inc. Perspective, Larry Ramsell, WRMP and Historical Perspective and Robb Kimm, Esox Angler, Publishing Perspective.

Look for Audio files very soon.

Questions included issues of Ethics, Genetics, and the World record issues in light of the WRMA report released last week. Answers were less than predictable and at times conflicting, but all were important to the ideals of the panel members reflecting each expert's past and present position in the Muskie related academic and social 'community'. At times, those dual positions created difficulty in answering conclusively, as Social issues do not always mesh exactly with those scientific.
