Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Check out the Berkley Lightning Rod in the 7'0" Heavy action. This is a stick and a half for suckers. Great backbone to really rip the hooks out of the sucker and bury them in the mouth of the musky. Look for or ask for the LSTBC701H model. It is rated for 2-6 ounce lures and 40lb-60lb test mono so the super lines would be like thread to it. The guides are larger casting guides that will resist ice-up.

| I really like the 8 footers. The extra length seems to help on the hookset and during battle. I fish with the Fig Rig glass composite rods exclusively. Nice trolling rods too.

Also, Northern Highland Sports in Boulder Junction just ordered some and Rollie & Helens will be bringing them in as well. Hayward Bait & Tackle in Hayward, WI has/had some in stock. The Midvale Dorn Hardware in Madison, WI also brought some in; their order just arrived.
Retail on the Lightning Rods is going to be right around $40 or so.
Hope this helps out in locating these rods.

Rods with a whippy tip are not good for the Super-Hero strength hooksets you need for suckers.
I would use a broom stick if I could. |

The nice thing about the Pro Glass, is that it isn't too heavy, but you are correct! IT WON'T BREAK! Great rod for this application....6'9" is plenty long for this type of application.
