I'm looking to add a second set up for fall trolling and plan to use it primarily for bigger baits. !3 inch grandams, 14 inch jakes, etc. Would use it with 10 inch jakes from time to time. Already have a 7-6 MH rod that works great with the 10 inch jakes. Would a longer, stiffer rod be better for the heavier baits? Looking for some advice from seasoned trollers. Thanks.

I use my G-loomis trolling rods only late in the fall where all I am using are oversized baits from 12 inch plows to 18 inch Wishmasters.
