Location: Bloomington, MN | Does anyone have an opinion of the Lund Alaskan 1800 SS as a muskie boat? The boat is 18' 6" and the one I'm looking at comes equipped w/ a 70 hp Suzuki 4 stroke at a very resonable price.

Location: oswego, il | I like them. I think it would make a nice musky boat. A little short on storage but has a ton of open floor space. When i get a boat, I may look into one, since I cast for my grandfather, a flat floor would make that job easier and since it has a low floor, the weight is lower in the boat while fishing, making it a more stable platform. |

| I have fished out of the Alaskan while at Andy Meyers on Eagle Lake. They are a very stable boat, low enough to the water, plenty of storage and as comfortable as can be. If you can get a good price on one, grab it.... or let me know if you decide against it.   |

| Dad has a 91 1800 alaskan with a 50 4 stroke. We fish Leech all summer. While this won't be the fastest boat out there we get across it and it is tough to put more than 7 gallons through it in a full day of fishing. Its easy to get over the side and there is enough storage for raingear and such. I would buy one. |
