| Does anyone have any info on this chain of lakes. Looking to go somewhere the week of sept. 17th and I just saw a show that J. Gillispie filmed last week and I was very impressed with the size of the walleyes they caught not to menition the muskies they caught.
I've located 2 resorts, Storks and North lake lodge, are there any others. These 2 seem a little pricey for a housekeeping package taking your own boat compared to other resorts on different lakes. Any info cared to share would be great and Thank You.

Been ther many times over the years, figured it was a sleeper lake, but was wrong, there are good # of fish in there, but been going up to LOTW and king of given up, it is an extra 5hrs North, of LOTW and is it any better than most shield lakes, i honestly dont think so. There are a ton of walleyes and northern in there,
If it makes you feel any better, I hit a huge pot hole, and broke my axle on my trailer, going down the 50 mile dirt road to get there from ear Falls.
We stayed in Ear Falls and drove there every day, and beat the %$#@ out of our trucks and boats getting there.
The resorts are to dam expensive there also.
Also we got all of our Beer and Gas stolen out of our trucks parked at the landing,
It a great lake and if you are going to go, spend the money and dont be a cheep ass like us and beat the crap out of your equipment driving to town every day.

| Dusty, Thank you for all the info. It made my decision much easier. They are expensive, and with the cost of gas going thru the roof, I'm passing on Long Legged. Now I know where I'm going to go so maybe you can help me out with one other question. We're going to go to Crow Lake and fish LOTW also. I've got 2 places in mind, Musky Bay Resort and Crawfords. They are both priced equally and both seem pretty decent. Do you recommend one over the other. Also, are the walleyes going to be hard to locate on LOTW. We are going to get a guide for the muskies one day, do you recommend one for walleyes tooo.

Dusty hit the nail on the head! I too have been there and everything he says is true! The old logging road to get back into the lake is a major pain in the %#$@. The prices for both lodges are sky high!!!!!!!! The first year I went there I wrecked the rear quarter panel of my boat trying to get into one of the lakes. There are MANY GREAT musky lakes you drive by on your way there including Cedar, Eagle, Lac Seul, LOTW etc. These places have just as many muskies and a whole lot CHEAPER!! |

Location: oswego, il | I got a brochure from one of those resorts last winter. I started looking at it and seen the price and thought, wow, this is not bad untill I realized it was PER DAY!!! Holy smokes, I think Bill Gates may think twice about staying there. |

| Thanks Guys for all the info. I've scratched Long Legged off the list. We're going to Crow Lake/LOTW. We've done the Eagle thing so we're changing up this year. I just can't figure out why the resorts on Long Legged are so #*^@ expensive.

They are both good resorts, and far as walleyes they are just bait, but if you do want to catch them focus deep,
and for muskies, if you are on LOTW, dam near any point and reef holds fish I would not get a guide, just get a good map,
most spots you can figure out on a map, and it is just a mater of being on the water. |
