Location: Pittsburgh, PA | Instead of Canada next year, my Dad would like to try a lake resort in the States and was thinking of the Minnesota area. Can anyone recommend a good lodge? He is more of a multispecies guy, so a good smallmouth/walleye lake would be preferred (hopefully with muskie in it!!)

Location: minocqua, wi. | Vermillion .... anywhere else won't produce the same overall experience IMO. fished smallies up there back in the 70's and 80's and it's outstanding. walleyes are good too .... don't have to tell you about the muskies .... just look at some of the posts and that will tell you that story.
i'm sure someone will chime in on the lodges etc..., i always camped when i went there. also, not too far away is Pelican Lake in Orr, MN. which is great for panfish and smallies too.
just a couple hours north of Duluth, so really easy traveling too. i know there are some of the guides from Tower that are active on the boards and i hope they find you.

| I second Lake Vermilion. I don't have recommendations on lodging, but the lake itself is outstanding for everything. |

Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | Vermilion Dam Lodge has been great for us. The cabins are sweet, people are cool, and they do a lot to support MI. |

| Vermillion dam is great,,the owner is a muskie guy,,the dock tender is a muskie guy,,,walleye,smallies,,and an underfished largemouth population,,,get used to the idea that on average Vermillion is a little more expensive |
