Location: Athens, Ohio | Well, I did catch a really good case of sunburn out yesterday casting one - after the other - for Kly. Water conditions were all beat up from the bass tourney and the skiers are back, better stick to weekdays now I guess. So, no Three-peat on Salt Fork for me, but I did make a new fishing friend out of the Cleveland Chapter. Still miss that Kid. m

Posts: 1438 | Fished Kentuck Saturday with Gail. Had one 'ski roll on a topwater but got no hooks into her. Saw two others. Then when the sun came out with that clear water I decided to switch to smallies. Between the two of us, we got 14 smallmouth and largemouth over about 2 hours. She had a ball.

Posts: 1936 Location: Eau Claire, WI | 7 boated, 3 lost in last 4 days. My wife got her personal best to date, a nice 42 incher. My good friend Sluggo's son, Logan, got his personal best 38 incher on Saturday evening...For a 9 year old, there was nothing more fun than seeing him do it all on his own, topwater to boot. And I'm batting 60% boated:loss ratio on Weagles, much higher than past percentages on similar style baits. Largest was a 44 at dark on Saturday evening. Will post picture of my wifes fish soon as I get it compressed to uploadable size. Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | We held our annual June catch and release outing in the Minoqua area for our club. first place was a 49"er(biggest ever in our outing) 2nd was my partner with a 40"er and third was a 39"er. 12 Muskies were caught for 25 people. We saw 23 muskies from my boat, but could only get 3 of them to eat. Lots of nipping. The junior division was won by a young boy(age 8 I beleive) with a 34" Musky, all on his own on a Crane bait. Thanks to Heart II for allowing us to hold our dinner and awards meeting there. Jason

Managed to boat 2 37" fish on Saturday after having a nice battle with a fat , apporoximately 42" that I goofed on. I tried to force it into the net a little too hard. I though the fish was tired enough to turn it around using my rod and line tension. All of the sudden, "BLOOP" and out came the hooks. I was upset, but I did have a nice battle with it (about 5 - 6 minutes) and it would have gone back anyway...it just would have been nice to hold it and get a measurement. Sunday did not boat any, but within a 3 hour period, we (had a man who has NEVER fished for ski's before) had action from 8 fish, with two of them fairly aggressive, but just did not bite. fun watching his reactions when a fish would come up behind the bait though...that was classic. Location: Des Moines IA | Jeremy and I fished shabbona this weekend. Fished some new spots . Saw 6 fish all weekend ... Boated none! 4 were in the mid 30 inch class, and we saw the same mid 40 inch fish twice ... Once on Saturday morning , and once on Sunday morning, in the exact same spot . They seemed to be pretty lazy follows. I did manage to catch a 6 or 7 pound Largemouth on a Magnum Bulldawg. That was a sight. Will post a pic when I get them back. Was just great to see some fish. Especially after you study the map looking for new spots, try them , and see fish. Makes all the preperation worth while. Edited by MuskieMike 6/13/2005 9:45 AM

Posts: 185 Location: Pound, WI | After not boating a fish in '04, I managed to land a healthy 37" up in Forest Co. Friday afternoon right before the storm moved through. I tried to beat the storm to the landing, but I lost. At least I boated a fish. Brian

Posts: 1906 Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Suspendos were going this weekend. 5 fish on, 3 fish boated. Biggest boated was a 45" fatty, and one of the two lost was a mid-upper 40" fish lost on a Doc. Big baits (10" cranks and mag dawgs) produced the best. Fish were found all over in the water column, but the fish boated were in the upper 5'. This was on Sat. Fri. one fish was blown on a mepps Giant Killer, and one fish blown on Sun. on a mag. dawg.

Posts: 110 Location: Albertville, Minnesota | Well, managed to finally get one of the big girls to eat a weagle on Sunday after moving them earlier on faster jerks/twitch baits. It doesn't get any better nailing one on topwater, especially with a lure made for attacking known big fish spots. It is 50" on the nose. What makes it really special is that its my first 50". Still shaking. Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Ended up landing one pretty 37" along with seeing the largest fish I have ever seen in my life lazily follow my bucktail. Legs were shaking pretty bad. All in all had 12 follows over the weekend when storms weren't chasing me off the water. Bo

Posts: 459 Location: New Baden IL | The Redman and I worked our tails off Monday for one dink. We had 4 strikes and put the one over the side of the boat...well not over the side exactly. Water release, how many pictures of mid-30" fish does a guy need? I'm guessing that the other 4 strikes were from HUGEMONGOUS fish though. I meant wishing. rod
