Posts: 691 Location: nationwide | As of yesterday the bog was tight into the bridge. We are supposed to have a front move through tonight and hopefully that will help. Corey Meyer

Location: The Yahara Chain | So when the bog is tight to the bridge, is it still possible to get through?

Posts: 691 Location: nationwide | I guess I should explain . . . . when I say tight to the bridge . . . . . I mean tight to the bridge and abutments and there was no way to get through . . . not even with a canoe. Now there was a front that moved through last night so it may have moved, I know I have my fingers crossed because I will be up there for 10 days starting this Friday and would really do not want to trailer my boat to get from one side to the other. Posts: 691 Location: nationwide | I just called Hermans' and the bog was blown back out last night and travel from the East to the West sides is possible. Hopefully it stays that way. Corey Meyer

Posts: 172 | Ty, My partner and I are coming up to fish the PMTT on the Chip. I knew there was no way I was going to get any info out of you, so I emailed a buddy here in Chicago who has fished with you many times. I really thought I could get some inside info on your secret spots and patterns until I got an email back telling me he was fishing the tournament with you. Oh well!!! Back to the drawing board. I'm looking forward to having a pop or two with Phil.

Put in three half days in the past three evenings. The first evening we had three go after a prototype creeper I've been working on. I blew one about as bad as anyone could miss one. I came up with a few excuses, but my clients didn't buy it. I set the hook like a little girl on that one. The seccond night we had two follows and one hit on Pacemakers. The one that hit was a fat 43 1/2 incher thanks to a better hookset by my client Connor Brodderick. Last night, well actually we did fish for an hour midday and saw two little ones, but anyway, last night we had two fish hit on that prototype creeper. The first hit was about twenty feet out and was one of the loudest harshest hits I've ever heard. Then the fish came back right at the boat and swiped at the bait again. After the boatside swipe, it looked like someone threw a bucket of water on me. That fish drenched me. I wasn't watching the bait when it got by the boat because I didn't think it would come back after such a vicious hit. Scared the crap out of me. Seamed like a very big fish, but it was a little too dark to get a good look at it. Two or three casts later I had another hit the same bait. Seemed small after the episode before that. Water temps were 71 degrees. By the way the client I had out two days ago also caught two others including a 45 incher. Ty

Just got back from a week on the Chip. Caught a 37" and saw 12 other fish. Caught the one on a bucktail, saw fish on Pacemakers and Suicks also. Scott Webster

Nothing in the morning, but caught a 40 1/2 incher in the first spot of the evening. Lost another a couple casts later. Had another roll on a bootail and then caught a 41 incher on that prototype creeper that has been getting a lot of attention lately. The water temps were 76 degrees. Not much for clouds yesterday, but didn't seem to matter much. Back at em' this morning. Ty

Posts: 25 Location: Roseville, MN | Hey Ty, A Creeper? A NEW CREEPER? If it has wings, I NEEEEEED one! Fished the Chip with Mr. Meyer for the first time ever in late June and have been dreaming of a return ever since! Drop me a note when time allows. I still have a one-of-a-kind, custom-painted set of your lures hanging in my work shop I'd like to get to you - I think you're gonna like them. Gale

Location: The Yahara Chain | What is the water temp? Is the bog a problem right now?

Posts: 691 Location: nationwide | Water temp last Sunday evening was 71-72. The bog has not been in the way since late July. It is stuffed right next to the road immediately south of the bridge . . . . for now. Corey Meyer
