Hi All!

I was fishing for carp and catfish in the Pennsauken Creek a few miles from the Delaware River. I am on the NJ side across from Philadelphia. I had a small catfish on and I thought I lost it but I didn't. I reeled in a cat with a huge piece missing. I think it must have been a muskie.

Is it usual for muskies to travel in tidal waters with a max depth of about 8 feet and a low tide of about 8 inches?

Now I want to try and catch a muskie but am clueless. I have some large topwater striper lures but would prefer to use bait. I would use a small catfish but have no clue how to rig it. I can purchase eels. Would a muskie hit an eel? Any suggestions?

Yeah it is normal and that river has a great population of fish in it...They tend to stay in pools and slack water adjacent to current, but can for sure be in the current themselves. Smaller baits and spinners work well in rivers...Ben
