Who has been distracted in some why, shape, or form and the end result is a missed fish?
League Night on Pewaukee, 45 minutes into a great looking night, fishing one of the most expensive shorelines on the lake. Let say the cheapest house is 2 mill. Sanks has the boat in near perfect position, I'm casting my perch undertaker when Sanks say's "Hey check out the babe in the white bikini getting out of the hot tub"
Now being a married man for 25 years you wouldn't think that this comment would phase me, but starring at her and not paying attention to the cast cost me big time.
The fish (Sanks said in the 40" class) hit light and didn't feel like more than some of the weeds earlier, came to the surface and when I looked and tried for a 2nd hookset the bait flew out of it's mouth. Of course my partner had the comment of "Didn't Sluggo teach you how to set a hook". My chin was now at my knees and another fish wasn't to be, even though we went back to the spot and pounded it till the end of league action.

Morale of the story is "Pay Attention when fishing, look at girls at bar later"

All i can say is : when the opportunity knocks - take advantage of it.
After 24 yrs of marriage too , if a babe in a kini is walking around or getting in or out of a hot tub , i'd be looking too !!!
Hell , i'd even get out the binocs for a better look if there was enough time.
Fishing is important too , but , other than a tourney for money , you can catch another one.

I have seen and had fish hit at some very odd times this year.

We are talking with archerynut, kevin is holding his boat and we are in shallow water, I show them how I work the heckhound. 2nd cast I have a fish up on it.

We dock to look at this boat for sale. 1.5ft of water, algead weeds. I cast out with a double d work it back and don't see this fish rocket after the lure as i bring it out of the water.

2 times while talking to a passing boat, follow on a topwater and another fish smash a shalklow invader and I missed the fish.

I know I have had some others but forget them at the moment.

At least you got some eye candy. I'd better finish before lori walks back into the room.

There is a house out on Pewaukee that has one of those huge drop screen projection TVs that is facing the front window not too far from the water. I always seem to get distracted when there is a Packer game on. No wonder I never put a fish in the boat in that spot on Sundays.

If I have to choose between a mid 40" ski or seeing some girl getting out of a hot tub I'd pick the fish........

Women are like buses. If one drops you off just wait around and another will be by soon to pick you up.

Now those honking huge pine beatles in Canada landing on you. THAT is a distraction!

Hey Netman,
"even though we went back to the spot and pounded it till the end of league action. "

Morale of the story is "Pay Attention when fishing, look at girls at bar later"

I would have phrased that a little differently. "Went back to a spot and pounded it," after mentioning an attractive young lady, think about it. Sounds like you may have given up on fishing unless you clarify what "it" is. Grammatically speaking, I believe you left a dangling participle.
