Judge boats this weekend because there is a 45" minimum on the Mad Chain that was put in place last year I think? Maybe the year before?

Oh yeah, I'm in both this weekend. Anybody make it out for opening day this past weekend?

Curious too how full the field is? I haven't heard any news from Tom on that.

Believe the tourneys are only about one half full. Fish are extremely spooky, due to the crystal clear water. A musky on the board early will go a long way. good luck.

Hi Guys, yes the judge boats are in place because of the size limit is 45 inches. It was put in place last year.

Also a couple of years ago Mr McInnis aprroached us with help for his tournament. But the Capital city Chapter of MI decline his offer because of the transfer issue. We asked if we could help set up judge boats, but then, Mr McInnis declined. So we were at odds with his tourney. I'm glad he has come around to our way of thinking.

Have a great event guys - and with this warm weather you may have a blast out there as I heard some muskies are getting active.

Phil Schweik and Dave Stewart called me yesterday when they were on the Madison Chain pre-fishing for this weekend's tornaments and they told me the muskie fishing what "HOT". They also said that if the fishing stays the same through the weekend, that there is going to be a ton of fish caught with some very big fish registered too.

When we scheduled the Madison tournaments last year for the 2005 season we felt that it was a very good time of the year to produce numbers of muskie along with some very big fish. We also felt that either the Monona tournament or the Waubesa/Upper Mud event could surpass the record for a WMT one day tournament that currently stands at 18 registered muskie that was set in 2004 on Boom Lake in Rhinelander. Their are two events that hold the second place at 17 muskies registered: Pewaukee in 2003 and Pelican Lake in 2004.

Either way the WMT's Lake Monona tournament and Lake Waubesa/Upper Mud is shaping up to be a great weekend of fishing and every one involved will be sure to have a great time.

Thanks and I hope to see you there,

Tom McInnis
